hi,
a very very long overdue update to this site... sorry but i have been pretty busy with work lately.... i also missed out on Bic's live shows in auckland while working overseas...anyway, the good news is that Bic is putting the finishing touches to the long awaited second album, so hopefully we will all have it in our hands soon. ....now...for the site changes.... i have added a couple of new photos to the gallery (the latest photos are at the foot of the page) and i have totally overhauled the discography section (phew!). it constantly amazes me just how many CDs Bic has appeared on (though, if you want a really comprehensive discography, check out bicRungadotnet). lastly, i have updated the news section and have added a small file to the Strange Stuff section (which is looking a bit depleted because of my 10MB file limit and the need to avoid copyright infringements!). ...the
latest CDs i am listening to is, first up, some good old prog rock!!! the
CD is 'The Flower Kings' "Alive on Planet Earth"...also i am listening
to a set of MP3's downloaded from the website of the band 'Unbelievable
Truth' ... they are a 3(sometimes 4)-piece from Abington (where?) in the
UK. Unfortunately the band has just split up in the last month. The music
is a lot like Bic's...raw melodic pop.

a small update in the News. ....now...while
i am here, i would like to give a BIG plug for the CD i am listening to
at the moment... it is called "Shrouded in Mist/Hinepukohurangi" by Whirimako
Black. its a bit unfair to classify the type of music, but its something
like spiritual/mystical maori music. the vocals are stunning.
if you want to connect with your maori roots definitely go out and
buy it!

just a small update of the News and Discography section due to the NZ release of the "Together In Concert: Live" album. Bic sounds great and the strength of her new songs prove that the new studio album will be well worth waiting for. ...OK...and now another rave from me... my latest pick of my new crop of CD's is Anggun's "Chrysalis" (the follow-up to her debut album). it is every bit as good as her first album...so go out there and get it! cya - Rhys

Runga show.

I am really looking forward to getting back to NZ in August to catch the Runga/Finn/Dobbyn show. Mind you, I have had a great 6 months in México and will miss it a lot.

...well
this update has been a long time coming....sorry about the delay
The time I spent in Malaysia and Hong Kong was fantastic and I am looking
forward to returning there soon. It was a bit of a shock to come
back to a the tail-end of a NZ winter though!
anyway...
on to the Site News... I have updated the general look of the site
(hopefully the extra graphics I have added won't slow it down too much).
I also made the site a little bit friendlier for those of you who use Internet
Explorer and also I have made it better for those with 640x480 monitors.
As far as actual new content goes things have been very quiet since Bic
has been based in the States. Nevertheless, I have updated the News
and Discography sections.
I'm
afraid this will be the last update for a couple of months while I head
up to Mexico ('up' from NZ that is!) to work.

a minor update I'm afraid. I have the updated fan club details
- The club is a great idea and we should all get behind it! Other
updates... a couple of photos on Filmstrip 12 (including an older
photo of Bic and (I believe) Peter Green, the Fan Club organiser)... also
I have added the lyrics to a couple of unrecorded songs. I
would be grateful if someone could verify the lyrics.

new photos, interviews and a new Bio and News section on the main page.
I have also "colourised" a few of the black and white Sony promo pictures
to give the site a bit of variety. Hopefully you will like the change,

Well
Christmas in NZ flew by and I'm back in Singapore. If you are in
NZ, make sure you grab a copy of the January 1999 issue of Metro magazine.
It contains an article about Boh and Pearl Runga, as well as a fairly stark
interview with Bic about life on the road. Anyway, here are the

Apologies
to anyone who has visited this Web Site and not seen much change lately
- it was never meant to be that way, but I have been working in various
parts of South East Asia for the last 3 months and that took its toll on
my ability to maintain the site. The BIG news for Kiwi's is that
Bic will be touring NZ in February (the Bad news for me is I will
be in Taiwan ...Bic, any chance of any gigs in Taipei in the next 6 months?)
